Twin Oaks Wolf Last Storm
Fantastic Linebred WOLF / BULL TUFF Litter Born August 2, 2014 Linebred WTCH WOLF / WTCH BULL TUFF Litter Arrives STORM puppies are here! STORM, our daughter from the last litter of HOF (Hall of Fame) WTCH (Working Trial Champion) 45 Ranch Wind Wolf PATDcs RTDcs, whelped six puppies on August 2, 2014. WTCH WOLF was 1999 ASCA National Finals First on Cattle and Combined (and one of the most influential sires in the breed in the past 20 years). STORM (Twin Oaks Wolf Last Storm … OFA – Good) is litter sister of WTCH ZIPPIN (3x National Finals … described by Sherry Miller, owner of Twin Oaks, as “one of the top three most powerful bitches I have worked or witnessed in my lifetime.” Sherry is one of the premier Australian Shepherd breeder/trainers in the world). This litter descends from the heart of the renowned, 50-year+, TWIN OAKS Kennel. The litter sire is DIANNE’s BUSTER, DNAvp who, at 10 years old, looks and moves like he is four. He is a powerful dog with excellent feet and legs and a grandson of WTCH WOLF. Like STORM, BUSTER is also a grandson of WTCH BULL TUFF, another ASCA Hall of Fame sire. And also like STORM, BUSTER has a super temperament … dominant but not aggressive, very friendly and outgoing. He complements STORM in every respect (which is why we made the mating). See Litter Pedigree. Buster -Sire information BUSTER was mated in 2013 to STORM’s daughter BREEZE. That mating produced eight beautiful puppies with excellent type and temperament (see BREEZE litter). Now we took that legendary TWIN OAK’s bloodline and made a mating even closer than the BREEZE mating. Here’s what we got. Three red males. Two black males. One black female. They are shiny and super healthy, since STORM got plenty of pasture-run eggs and our organic goat milk during gestation. And she’s getting more of the same while nursing. Puppy Pictures. How do you know puppies are healthy? Because trying to take their pictures is like trying to photograph earthrooms. So we apologize if a few of the shots are a little fuzzy. Our plan is take new pictures every Sunday and update them on Mondays. Puppy Grading. This litter is being raised in the home so we’ve got at least one eye on them almost constantly. Once they get to five weeks, they’ll start getting introduced to all the animals on the hobby farm … goats, sheep, pigs, chickens and cats, as well as two young people ages 3 and 5. So the socializing will be a given. Herding Instinct and Type. We’ll begin serious evaluations from 5-7 weeks. Our first choice for breeding quality designation is herding instinct. Then we’ll look at type … shoulders and feet and legs. With the quality shown by both parents and this strong linebreeding, we expect several “breeding quality” prospects. Coats will probably be medium length with average undercoat. The blacks could begin to show copper highlights in a week or so (STORM is actually a black-tri.) Puppy Application. Please fill this out and get to us ASAP if you are interested. We want to know your needs so we can match you with the right puppy. The owner of the sire will make her pick-of-the-litter choice at about five weeks. Our evaluations will continue until the puppies are about seven weeks old. So we will only take general reservations up to that point. Breeding quality - $750 - $1,000. Pet quality - $300-500. ASCA and AKC registered puppies. We are taking verbal reservations at this time. Deposits will be once the puppies are born to guarantee a pick. Pups will be evaluated from 5-7 weeks for structure and herding potential. Placement will be determined within that time.
